The 7 Habits made a huge impact on my life. The book explains personal effectiveness step-by-step from the basic decision -- If it is to be, it's up to me -- through to how to deal with others, and the world. The sequence is logical and sound. This book helped me to claim my power, manage myself, and lower my dependence on others. I highly recommend The 7 Habits along with another superb book this author endorses, Optimal Thinking: How to Be Your Best Self to understand why most people don't achieve everything they want with positive thinking. Optimal Thinking resolves shortcomings of positive thinking, provides the mental resource to best deal with feelings and make the most of any situation.
